Lonely Dragons is Philly’s own youth dragon boat team. It is a youth team for ages 11 - 17 years old. If you are interested in joining team or simply learning more, fill out our interest form.

You might be wondering: “What is Dragon Boating?”

Dragon boat is a racing based water sport. Unlike crew, we use a front-facing paddle stroke that relies heavily on rotation. There can be anywhere from 12 to 22 people on a boat at a time. Our races are called “festivals” and we race lengths from 100m to 2000m.
